  • Cosmetic Tattooing, also known as permanent makeup, is the process of implanting pigment in the upper dermal layer of your skin. The purpose is to create a soft, realistic effect thats usually achieved with makeup or to replace natural features that may be missing. The technique itself and depth of implantation is where it differs most from traditional tattooing.

  • The rate and amount that cosmetic tattooing fades over time is dependent on multiple factors that differ from person to person. Some people may end up with leftover pigment that never fully disappears, while others may have cosmetic tattoos that fade over time and are visibly undetectable. More often than not, residual pigment will remain. Different factors that play a role in fading include skin type, lifestyle, and use of skincare products. Technique, tools, and pigments used during application can also be a contributing factor. Lightening and or removal can be a very normal part of the process. Most cosmetic tattooing will last anywhere from 1.5 - 4 years before needing a refresh.

  • All coverup work from previous artists must be pre- approved before booking. If your old tattoo is dark, saturated, or misshapen, you will more than likely need removal before you’re able to rework the area. Please email a clear, well lit photo of your yourself from the neck up with a description of what you’d like to achieve. To take the photo correctly, please stand in front of a well lit window that receives ample natural sunlight. Do not show up to your appointment without pre-approval. If you show up to your appointment with an old tattoo that is unable to be reworked, your appointment will be cancelled and you will be charged a cancellation fee. For removal recommendations, please reach out through the contact page of the website.

  • Pain differs from person to person but is generally minimal. Some clients even fall asleep! Topical anesthetic is applied during the appointment to keep you comfortable.

  • Yes. Touch ups are recommended because they help secure the integrity of your tattoo. Due to skin complexity, it is not uncommon for there to be light areas or loss after healing from your initial session. Touch ups provide the opportunity to assess the skin and make any changes necessary for optimal retention. For those with little to no brow hair, it is not uncommon to need additional sessions to reach desired result. Touch ups and additional sessions are not included in the initial price. All 8 week touch up appointments must be completed no later than 16 weeks from the time of your initial session to avoid additional charges.
